"The Other Half" by Cotton Nightie

My Book Summary : Jack feels like he's lost it all. His wife left him and took his girls. They are getting a divorce and his ex keeps asking for more and more. To say he is depressed is a bit of an understatement. When Julie stops by his house to drop off one of his daughter's shoes that was left at her job they quickly get into a "friendship" that grows into something a lot more meaningful. However, with all of the antics Jack's ex sends their way it's hard to tell if they'll ever make it through it all with their relationship and hearts intact...

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars, this novel brings two people together that are from opposite ends of the "wealth" spectrum in a way that neither of them expected but because they both seem to hit their own "rock bottoms" they help each other find their live and new love again...

I was pleasantly surprised by how this novel wasn't as predictable as I expected. I enjoyed the surprising twists and turns that the characters bring out throughout this novel, they were shocking in some cases yet it made it all seem more real. Julie and Jack are great counter parts to each other. They help each other in many ways yet even when things get tough; it's never too much to tear them apart even though Jack's ex tries multiple times. An emotional and steamy novel that keeps you hooked and wanting more.

My only issue with it is how the ending somewhat just wrapped things up a little to quickly, yet I did like how things turned out for all of the characters.

I recommend this novel to anyone who likes contemporary romances!
